| Head Shave for children's charities |
Our very own Carla Oliveira,(left) who works in our Accounts Department has decided that she wants to do something to raise funds for Children in Need and Rebecca House Children's Hospice, Isle of Man.
Carla has taken the brave step of arranging to have her whole head shaved on October 7th and the funds she receives in sponsorship will be divided between those two wonderful organisations.
Additionally the process will be completed in a very special way so that her long dark hair can be donated to the Little Princess Trust which provides real-hair wigs for children suffering hair loss due to cancer treatment and conditions such as alopecia.
When asked why she has decided to raise funds in this way, Carla, originally from Portugal, said, "I've always had long hair. I wanted to donate my hair to children and raise money for children as well."
She added, "I feel really good thinking I will be able to help children with cancer. I'm really excited about it and I've been having lots of support "
