- 4 Le Crunch
delicious apples
- 4 pears
- a little
water
- juice of
1 lemon
- 4 tablespoons
caster sugar
- 1 teaspoon
ground cinnamon

- Peel, core
and chop the apples and pears into medium size chunks.
- Put them
into a large saucepan. Add enough water to cover the base of the
pan.
- Cover with
lid and simmer for 5 - 10 minutes until the fruit is soft. Leave
to cool.
- Blend the
fruit to a purée and add the cinnamon and lemon juice.
- Put the caster
sugar into a small saucepan with 4 tablespoons of water. Bring
to boil, remove from heat and mix into the fruit.
- Pour into
a freezerproof container and freeze for about 3 hours, stirring
occasionally.
- Serve small
scoops in chilled glasses after a meal.
