- 1 large fresh
tomato, chopped and then pressed on a paper towel to absorb excess
juice.

cup fresh basil, chopped.
- 2 cups all-purpose
flour.
- 2 tsp. baking
powder.
- ½
tsp. salt.
- ¼
cup butter, softened.
- ¾
cup milk
- pinch fresh
ground pepper.

Combine
tomato and basil together.

In separate bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt.

Add butter and milk and mix well.

Add tomato-basil mixture and a pinch of pepper and mix well.

Drop tablespoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet.

Bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees or until golden brown.
